Henry To’oto’o continues to impress as a true freshman, and other than whiffing on a potential sack, I thought he played very well. But consistency plagues this unit, and they went from a strong first half to a very weak second half and overtime. Darrell Taylor had maybe three or four good plays the entire game. Otherwise, he was, once again, pretty invisible. Will Ignont played better, and I liked some of what I saw from Quavaris Crouch, but the second half defense was pretty bad once again. Kivon Bennett got a couple quarterback hurries, but either Deandre Johnson didn’t play at all or he completely did nothing when he was on the field.

The linebackers were just average, and against teams like BYU, that isn’t going to cut it. The defense did a much better job lining up thanks to Will Ignont, but the linebackers as a whole continued to miss tackles and take poor angles to the football. Henry To’oto’o turned in yet another impressive performance with seven tackles and a tackle for a loss.

  1. I’ll always have your backs Vols, just promise to work harder. The players look really fatigued out there. Please work harder getting in better shape. We’ve all heard that games are won or lost in fourth quarters.
