Nathanael’s Pick

Surely Tennessee won’t lose a fourth-straight time to Vanderbilt, right?

With as much as the Commodores have lost, I don’t see it happening. Unless one of their quarterbacks can turn into a poor man’s version of Kyle Shurmur, they simply don’t have the match-ups to win this game. They have one of the best trios in the SEC in Ke’Shawn Vaughn, Jared Pinkney, and Kalija Lipscomb. But they don’t have a lot at the lines of scrimmage, and their QB play should take a big drop-off.

Score: 35-13, Tennessee

Ben’s Pick

The Vols finally beat Vanderbilt to end a three-game losing streak. I love Vanderbilt’s dynamic trio of Ke’Shawn Vaughn, Jared Pinkney, and Kalija Lipscomb, but three players won’t be able to pull this one out against what should be a much-improved Tennessee team by the time the final game of the season rolls around. Vanderbilt’s poor offensive line and struggling defense allow the Vols to pick up their seventh win of the season, gaining momentum as they head to the bowl game.

Score: 38-27, Tennessee
