Nathanael’s Pick

Tennessee just beats Kentucky in college athletics, it’s as simple as that. While I do think Kentucky is going to be better than some believe, and I don’t think they’ll have quite as big of a fall-off as some anticipate, I still think the Vols will be able to handle their business in this one. UK’s defense won’t be as good as last year’s, and Tennessee shut down the Wildcats’ offense last year when they had better weapons than they do this season.

Score: 27-17, Tennessee

Ben’s Pick

Tennessee beats Kentucky to pick up its sixth win and send Jeremy Pruitt to a bowl game for the first time as a head coach. Now, this game will be tougher than expected. I’m not buying the stigma that the Wildcats are going to fall off a cliff, and this game is on the road. Tennessee will have its hands full, but I don’t trust Terry Wilson’s arm. Plus, Jarrett Guarantano and Tennessee’s receivers should be able to have a big game against a young, inexperienced Kentucky secondary.

Score: 30-24, Tennessee
