Tight End
TE1: Dominick Wood-Anderson, Jackson Lowe, Jacob Warren
TE2: Austin Pope, Andrew Craig, Princeton Fant
Dominick Wood-Anderson is Tennessee’s unquestioned starter at tight end, but this fall will be important for both his development and finding depth behind him.
Austin Pope seems the slight favorite to be the second tight end in the group, but don’t count out Andrew Craig as a contributor if Pope doesn’t improve his consistency. Freshman Jackson Lowe showed some promise in the spring, and Princeton Fant is a big body who could be a blocking specialist.
The wildcard here is redshirt freshman Jacob Warren. If he’s put on enough weight and added enough strength, he could be the most effect pass catcher behind Wood-Anderson. That might get him some playing time.
