Every year, at least one player comes seemingly out of nowhere and has a breakout season for Tennessee. Last season, it was players like Bryce Thompson at cornerback, Darrell Taylor at linebacker, and Josh Palmer at wide receiver who emerged as playmakers at their respective positions.

Who will be the Vols’ breakout stars in 2019?

Tennessee features several players who have flashed potential during their time at UT or who showed plenty of promise before joining the Vols’ roster, but they just haven’t broken through and grabbed the spotlight just yet. Whether it’s been because of injuries, lack of playing time, or still learning their position, there are plenty of candidates to choose when it comes to predicting who will break out for the Vols in 2019.
