Power Forward

PJ Hall, Roebuck (SC) – No. 62 overall, No. 10 PF

Justin Lewis, Towson (MD) – No. 77 overall, No. 13 PF

Keon Ambrose-Hylton, Toronto (ON) – No. 79 overall, No. 14 PF

Zed Key, Glen Head (NY) – No. 290 overall, No. 46 PF

PJ Hall is Tennessee’s top big man target in the 2020 class, and for good reason. Hall is a stud power forward who holds offers from over two dozen programs, including half of the SEC. The 6-foot-9, 220-pound South Carolina product has been high on the Vols for a while, and Tennessee is one of the favorites in his recruitment. Florida will be the biggest threat to the Vols in his recruitment. Clemson could be one to watch as well.

Beyond Hall, Tennessee’s recruitment of power forwards is somewhat murky.

Both Keon Ambrose-Hylton and Zed Key are on Tennessee’s watch list, but neither have an official offer from UT as of yet. Ambrose-Hylton has visited UT’s campus already, and Key is a newer target who got a visit from Tennessee’s coaches a couple months ago.

Justin Lewis is interesting in that Tennessee didn’t really seem to have any traction there at all until hiring Kim English. Then, Lewis included the Vols as one of his top teams in his recruitment. It feels like UT will end up on the outside looking in for him, but that’s still an interesting note if anything with Hall doesn’t work out like UT hopes.
