Bryce Thompson, Tulsa (OK) – No. 26 overall, No. 5 CG
Tennessee extended an offer to Bryce Thompson — not the current Vols’ football player — in the midst of his meteoric rise to prominence a few months ago. At the time, Thompson was a top-100 prospect who was thought to be a high upside player. Now, he’s a five-star and one of the top recruits in the 2020 class.
Thompson has received interest from some of the top programs in college basketball, including Kansas, North Carolina, and Michigan State. The Vols are involved with Thompson, but it feels like he’ll likely end up going to one of the blue blood programs in college hoops. Still, Tennessee might push for a visit or two if they feel they have a real shot at landing him.
