8. Tre’vonn Rybka, DL
Height/Weight: 6-foot-4, 280 pounds
Overall Ranking: 575th
State Ranking: 18th
School: Dickson County (Dickson)
Ignore the rankings on this one. Tre’Vonn Rybka might not be rated as high as some of the other players on this list, but he’s a definite high priority for the Vols in this class.
Rybka is a powerful defensive lineman who runs track and has some impressive measureables. He doesn’t play for a very good team, but he has a very high upside and needs good coaching to make the most of his career. Luckily for him, there are some really coaches who are interested in him.
The versatile defensive lineman is getting serious interest from Alabama, LSU, and Oregon among others.
Right now, Rybka is expected to visit Tennessee soon and could come with a few other in-state prospects on the trip as well. It’s unlikely he’ll be announcing a commitment any time soon, so the Vols are probably going to have to battle it out with other schools for a few more months.
As a junior this past season, Rybka totaled 50 tackles, five sacks, and eight tackles for loss.
