There aren’t a ton of highly-rated offensive linemen in the state of Tennessee in the 2020 cycle, but the Vols are major players with three of the four highest-rated O-linemen in the state. That includes Marcus Henderson.
While Tennessee may be lagging for some other Memphis targets, the Vols are in a good spot with Henderson, and he fills a position of need along the interior of the offensive line. Henderson has visited UT multiple times, last making the trip eastward for a Junior Day event in late January. Competition will be stiff for him, and Ole Miss appears to be heavily involved with the four-star lineman along with Arkansas and LSU.
Henderson goes to the same school that former UT offensive lineman Drew Richmond attended, and Henderson is also friends with current Vol running back Eric Gray.
The Vols have a lot in their favor with Henderson, but it’s far from a guarantee they’ll end up landing him.
