A few months ago, it seemed like Tennessee could be the likely destination for Tee Hodge. Now, however, that doesn’t seem like such a certainty.
Hodge’s size leads some to believe he could best fit at linebacker in college, and that could be Tennessee’s line of thinking as well. The Vols are open to the idea of Hodge as more than a running back, but Hodge may not want to play another position besides running back at the next level. There’s also the fact that Hodge isn’t a native Tennessean and might jump at the opportunity to play at Florida State should they ever offer him. He’s visited Tallahassee multiple times already and grew up a fan of the Seminoles.
As for what Hodge can do on the field, there’s a lot to like about his game. He blends a lot of power with an impressive amount of speed, and if not for an injury last year, he would’ve put up some even more impressive numbers than he did.
Before an injury caused him to miss part of the playoffs for Maryville, Hodge totaled 805 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns on 131 carries. He also added 17 receptions for 175 yards and a score, giving him nearly 1,000 total yards from scrimmage and 20 total touchdowns.
