Another Memphis prospect who the Vols have a good shot at landing is Omari Thomas, and he’s a big priority at an area of need.

Thomas was originally looked at as an offensive lineman, but his offer from Tennessee was for the defensive line, and a lot of other schools are targeting him as a defensive lineman as well. Florida, LSU, Florida State, Miami, and Georgia are some of the schools recruiting him the hardest along with the Vols right now.

It’s clear that Thomas is one of UT’s top targets in this class, and he may even deserve to be ranked higher than third on this list. The Vols have to get him back on campus over the summer, and he’s planning to make the trip to Knoxville in the coming months. That will be huge for Tennessee, and they likely need him to travel over a couple more times as well.

Thomas and Jabari Small are teammates and would like to be a package deal, so landing one could lead to getting a commitment from the other.
