Ensworth (Nashville)

Speaking of the mid-state, Keshawn Lawrence is probably the Vols’ top target in the Nashville area, and he’s a highly sought after recruit outside of the state of Tennessee, too. The Vols have prioritized him as of late, and he’s made more visits to Tennessee in 2019 because of it.

Lawrence visited the Vols twice in 2018, and he’s already visited them twice in 2019 in just three week’s time. He came on an unofficial visit on March 30th and returned to Knoxville for the Orange & White Game on April 13th.

But Tennessee isn’t the only team recruiting the dynamic play-maker hard

Lawrence has also taken visits to LSU, Miami, and Ole Miss, and those three along with South Carolina are the other SEC teams that are really pursuing the two-way player.

Though he plays offense and defense both for Ensworth, Lawrence definitely projects as a safety in college. The Vols don’t have as big of a need there as they do other positions, or Lawrence might be even higher on this list. And just like with Tyler Baron, Lawrence’s relationships make him important. He’s close with Baron since they were teammates, and he’s also friends with a few other in-state targets.

As a junior, Lawrence led Ensworth with 766 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 117 carries while also totaling 15 tackles, an interception, and three pass break-ups.
