Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt met with the media on Monday after the Vols’ third day of spring practice wrapped up, and he had plenty to say about what he saw from this team on the field.
Monday marked the first day in pads for UT’s team this spring, and Pruitt was encouraged by what he saw from the Vols’ offense but also discouraged by the defense. According to Pruitt, the offense “kicked the defense’s tail” on Monday during some game-like situations, and he was disappointed in the lack of strain from some defenders.
Pruitt discussed the specifics of that, the status of Trey Smith, and much more during his press conference after practice.
