6. Jackson Lowe, TE

Star Rating: 4-star
Overall: 341st
Position: 12th
Height/Weight: 6-foot-5, 235 pounds

Yes, Lowe is technically a four-star, so it may be weird to see him listed as an “underrated” player. But he’s only barely a four-star on the 247Sports Composite rankings, and their regular rankings have him as a three-star and outside the top-500 overall players.

I think Lowe is an immediate impact player for Tennessee. And once Dominick Wood-Anderson leaves after the 2019 season, I think Lowe is starting for the Vols at tight end in 2020. Being enrolled early will only help him realize his potential sooner.

Lowe has great aggression and physical attributes, and he has a great frame to add more weight to his already impressive build. He’ll help Tennessee with their blocking even as a true freshman. Not only that, but he’s actually pretty good at catching the ball, too. He can be developed into a true two-pronged tight end. That’s rare. It’s hard to find tight ends that are great at both blocking and catching, but Lowe has that potential.

Don’t believe me? Check out his highlight film below, then.

In 25 games for Cartersville High School down in Georgia, Lowe caught 50 passes for 809 yards and 12 touchdowns according to MaxPreps.
