Tennessee needs bigger bodies at tight end, and that’s just what Jackson Lowe will bring as a true freshman.

Dominick Wood-Anderson figures to be the Vols’ starting tight end again, but who will be UT’s second TE on the depth chart? Last year, Austin Pope played more of a fullback/H-back role when he was on the field, and Eli Wolf didn’t get a lot of playing time until closer to the end of the season. Lowe is already almost bigger than both of those players as a true freshman. Redshirt freshman Jacob Warren will be an interesting player to keep an eye on at this position, but Lowe has a blend of blocking and pass catching that not every tight end has.
