Pros: Just like with Enos, if you want a lot of coaching experience, Matt Canada is your man. He’s been coaching in the college game for two decades, and he’s been a play-caller at the Power Five level and served as Maryland’s interim head coach this past season. Canada has had success as an offensive coordinator at Wisconsin and NC State, and he was thrust into a very tumultuous situation at Maryland and had more success than many thought possible in his one year as their head coach.

Cons: While Canada has experience in the SEC with his time at LSU, that one year with the Tigers didn’t go well. He and LSU head coach Ed Orgeron didn’t have a great relationship, and LSU’s offense struggled for most of that season. Would it be more of the same at UT? Plus, it’s likely Canada will get looks as a head coach at other programs this offseason.
