Leading up to the early signing period, Tennessee started to get more involved with talented four-star wide receiver Arjei Henderson. The 6-foot-1, 183-pound receiver out of Richmond, Texas was once committed to Oklahoma, but he reopened his recruitment on November 26th. Tennessee’s coaches have started amping up their pursuit of him ever since.

Pulling talent out of Texas is always difficult for schools outside of the state or outside of the Big 12, but Tennessee will do what they can to try and land Henderson in this class. He’s not necessarily a burner on the field, but he has undeniable talent and a great catch radius. He participated in Nike’s The Opening Finals over the summer and is invited to the Under Armour All-American Game.

Florida State is scheduled to get an official visit from Henderson in January, and it will be interesting to see where else he decides to go. Tennessee will definitely try and persuade him to come up to Knoxville next month.

Henderson is the No. 126 overall player and No. 22 wide receiver in the 2019 class.
