Tennessee currently has 20 recruits committed to them in their 2019 class. But how many of those prospects are set to sign with the Vols during the early signing period later this week?
The second-ever early signing period begins this week on Wednesday, December 19th and will run through the end of the day on Friday, December 21st. Last year, the Vols had an impressive early signing period haul that saw them hold on to some key commits in the 2018 class while also adding players who had an instant impact this season such as Dominick Wood-Anderson and Jahmir Johnson.
This year, Tennessee didn’t have to deal with a head coaching search just days before the early signing period started. Last year, Jeremy Pruitt had been the head coach of Tennessee for less than two weeks by the time the early period started. This year, Pruitt has just completed his first season as UT’s head coach and has had much more time to develop relationships and recruit prospects longer in this cycle.
