Tennessee might’ve just had some massive momentum swing in their favor with one of the top athletes in the 2019 class this weekend.

Four-star North Carolina athlete Quavaris Crouch took a surprise unofficial visit to Knoxville this weekend, and it appears Tennessee might have worked themselves right back into Crouch’s recruitment after it seemed like Clemson had taken control. Crouch included the Vols, Tigers, and Michigan as his top three schools in his recruitment, but it appeared like it was coming down to Clemson and Tennessee for the talented two-way athlete.

Crouch visited Clemson and seemed like the Tigers emerged as his leader. But his visit to Tennessee this past weekend took many by surprise, and the Vols are still right in the thick of things.

It’s likely Crouch will get a chance at linebacker first wherever he ends up at for college, but he proved to be a dynamic running back in high school. He ran for over 3,000 yards as a junior in 2017 while also notching over a dozen sacks on defense.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound athlete plans on telling his school of choice he intends to sign with them during the early signing period, but he won’t actually make his decision public and sign until January 5th at the All-American Bowl.
