5. Noah Cain, RB
The Vols have made a late push for one of the top running backs in the 2019 class, and they’re hoping they can pull off a last minute coup with the talented running back down in Florida.
Noah Cain is a four-star running back who plays for IMG Academy, and he’s teammates with Vol offensive line commit Chris Akporoghene. Cain’s recruitment has been difficult to track, as he was once thought to be heading to Texas, but then Penn State emerged as a favorite. Georgia is still a team to watch with him, however.
Now, however, his recruitment has taken another turn.
Cain took his final official visit this weekend to see Tennessee with his teammate, Akporoghene. By all accounts, Cain thoroughly enjoyed his time in Knoxville, and the Vols have given him plenty to think about. The 5-foot-10, 208-pound running back still seems like he’s a Penn State lean, but he’ll be making his announcement on Wednesday on the first day of the early signing period.
The talented running back is rated as the No. 104 overall prospect and No. 7 running back in the 2019 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
