8. Jadon Haselwood, WR
The No. 1 wide receiver in the 2019 class has the Vols as one of his finalists, but Tennessee is likely fighting from behind on this one. That’s the reason Jadon Haselwood isn’t higher on this list.
Haselwood has listened to the Vols’ sales pitch and has been more open ever since he decommitted from Georgia back in the beginning of October. Tennessee, along with several other schools, have put on a full court press for the five-star wide receiver. He did take an unofficial visit to UT back on December 7th, and he’s been very receptive to Tennessee’s message.
But Haselwood wants to go to a school that throws the ball more, and that’s why Oklahoma and Miami are considered more in the lead for him than the Vols. Even the school he just decommitted from, Georgia, is still heavily involved in this race.
According to 247Sports, Haselwood will be signing during the early signing period and is an early enrollee too. But he’s planning on making his college choice public during the All-American Bowl on January 5th.
