Pros: Coley and Pruitt have missed working with each other a couple times in college now. Coley just missed working with Pruitt in 2013 at Florida State, and Pruitt left Georgia in 2015 before Coley came on in 2016. Still, Pruitt likely knows about Coley since they’ve worked at the same schools, and Coley has had success at his various stops. If UT can’t get Jim Chaney, maybe they can get UGA’s QB coach and co-offensive coordinator instead.
Cons: Coley has been at various stops in the SEC and ACC, but he’s never been truly dynamic as a play-caller. Pruitt hasn’t ever technically worked with him, but he does likely know who he is and know about him. There haven’t been any reports of Pruitt even thinking of him as a target, so that might speak to what he thinks of him as a play-caller.
