Track Record:

Springdale HS, Ark. (OC) — 2006-09
Auburn (Quality Control) — 2010-11
Arkansas State (RBs) — 2012
Arkansas State (Co-OC/RBs) — 2013
Boise State (TEs) — 2014
Boise State (OC/QBs) — 2015
NC State (OC/QBs) — 2016-present

Pros: Drinkwitz has done a very solid job with NC State’s offense while he’s been with the Wolfpack. He’s helped develop quarterback Ryan Finley into a likely Day 2 NFL draft pick, and NC State had consistently had one of the higher-scoring offenses in the ACC under Drinkwitz. He runs a ball control offense that should mesh well with Pruitt’s philosophy.

Cons/Questions: Though he’s had good experience with NC State, calling plays in the ACC and in the SEC are two very different things. And when his offenses have gone up against the better defenses in that conference, they’ve struggled a lot. Drinkwitz’ NC State teams also haven’t been very run-heavy. Drinkwitz may be interested in the job at UT, but there’s a feeling that his name has been floated out by an agent rather than him being a serious contender for the job.
