Track Record:

Hoover HS, Ala. (OC) — 2007
Lassiter HS, GA (HC) — 2008-09
Troy (QBs) — 2010
Span Park HS, Ala. (HS) — 2011-12
Auburn (analyst) — 2013
Southern Miss (OC) — 2014-15
Arizona State (OC) — 2016
Auburn (OC) — 2017-present

Pros: Lindsey has a relationship with Pruitt, and he’s been successful at most of his stops. While Auburn’s offense struggled this season, they were successful in his first year there in 2017, and he helped turn around Southern Miss’s offense while he served as their OC in 2014 and 2015. He coached Nick Mullins at Southern Miss, and Mullins won the Player of the Year in the conference and is now starting at quarterback in the NFL. Auburn’s offense set school records in 2017 under his watch too.

Cons/Questions: Lindsey doesn’t have a great deal of experience as an OC in the SEC, and what little time he’s spent in the SEC has been mired in controversy. His time with Auburn as their play-caller has been less than stellar, but how much of that is because of Gus Malzahn meddling rather than Lindsey? Who’s been responsible for Auburn’s success and failures more, Lindsey or Malzahn?
