In this episode of the RTI Podcast, managing editor Nathanael Rutherford and staff writer Ben McKee look at a new name that has emerged in the Vols’ search for an offensive coordinator. They also discuss two of the main candidates, Chip Lindsey and Hugh Freeze. Is too much being made of Lindsey’s time at Auburn this season when you look at his full body of work? How do Vol fans reconcile Freeze’s past baggage if Tennessee ends up hiring him? They also discuss their favorite memories in Thompson-Boling Arena in honor of the 500th game being played in the arena on Wednesday night.

The RTI Podcast comes out every Tuesday and Thursday during the football season. You can subscribe to the podcast in iTunes here!

  1. I trust that coach Pruitt will make the right decisions along with the guidance of the AD. It takes time to repair the damage (The Butch) did in K-town. BOC must be patient on this rebuild. I know BOC is tired of waiting, but I think we just might have a winner here. Not a lot of talk. This years team fought thru a lot of adversity this year, sorta bipolar. Two big unexpected victories over Auburn and Kentucky. Was rather surprised to see only 13 seniors on senior day. Youth and injuries. There is hope.
