Quick Bio: Vol fans are well aware of who Tee Martin is. He was the quarterback when the Vols went undefeated and won the 1998 National Championship, and he’s been the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at USC since 2016. He was also brought up as a potential head coaching candidate this time last year.

Pros: Martin is intimately familiar with Tennessee and what it takes to get UT back to prominence, and he’s had experience calling plays at USC the last few years. He’s also coached in the SEC, serving as Kentucky’s wide receivers coach in 2010 and 2011.

Cons/Questions: Has Martin ever truly been the main guy calling plays? There was plenty of speculation about that when Tyson Helton was the quarterbacks coach there, and USC’s offense didn’t exactly look dynamic this season when Martin was allegedly the main play-caller this year. Plus, the ship might’ve already sailed with Martin and Tennessee given the track record of his interest in coaching at UT before.
