Greg Emerson, DL
Initially one of a trio of in-state defensive linemen in Tennessee’s 2018 class, Emerson wound up being the only one of that group to sign with the Vols. D’Andre Litaker and Brant Lawless didn’t end up with the Vols, but Emerson did.
The 6-foot-3, 305-pound lineman played for North Side in Jackson, TN and was a consensus four-star prospect who enrolled early with the Vols. Emerson originally joined the Vols as a defensive lineman, but he was temporarily moved to the offensive line to create some depth. He was eventually moved back to the defensive line, however.
Emerson appeared in just one game this season, earning some reps in Tennessee’s blowout win over ETSU.
