One of the Vols’ top commits in their 2019 class will be hosting coaches from another SEC school this week.

Lakia Henry, the top-rated junior college linebacker in the 2019 class according to 247Sports, will reportedly be hosting coaches from Arkansas starting on Wednesday of this week. Nikki Chavanelle of the Rivals’ affiliate for Arkansas first reported the news.

Henry committed to Tennessee back on May 20th, but other schools have continued to pursue him. The 6-foot. 225-pound JUCO linebacker has picked up offers from Auburn, Florida, and Arkansas since committing to the Vols, and Florida and Arkansas in particular have been making pushes for the four-star linebacker.

According to 247Sports, Henry is the No. 4 overall junior college player and the top JUCO linebacker in the 2019 class. He took an official visit to see Tennessee when they hosted Charlotte, and he’s also taken an official visit to Arkansas earlier this month.

During this season with Dodge City Community College, Henry totaled 110 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, an interception, and a pass break-up according to the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference site.

Henry is the fourth highest-rated player in Tennessee’s 2019 recruiting class currently. Only five-star offensive tackle Wanya Morris, four-star receiver Ramel Keyton, and four-star safety Jaylen McCollough are rated higher than Henry according to 247Sports.

Right now, Henry is the only true linebacker committed to the Vols in their 2019 class, and he projects as an inside linebacker. Tennessee does have a couple defensive ends committed who could move to outside linebacker in Roman Harrison and Jalil Clemons, however.
