Quick Bio: Right now, Chip Lindsey serves as Auburn’s offensive coordinator. He’s had a lot of experience in the south as a coach, and he was a coach at Hoover, Pruitt’s old stomping grounds, back in 2007.

Pros: Lindsey has a relationship with Pruitt, and he’s been successful at most of his stops. While Auburn’s offense struggled this season, they were successful in his first year there in 2017, and he helped turn around Southern Miss’s offense while he served as their OC in 2014 and 2015.

Cons/Questions: Lindsey doesn’t have a great deal of experience as an OC in the SEC, and what little time he’s spent in the SEC has been mired in controversy. His time with Auburn as their play-caller has been less than stellar, but how much of that is because of Gus Malzahn meddling rather than Lindsey? Still, there are plenty of question marks about Lindsey’s play-calling ability.
