The receivers’ production (or lack thereof), just like with the running backs, wasn’t all their fault. Both Marquez Callaway and Jauan Jennings were banged up, and it showed with their lack of play-making ability and the fact that they weren’t targeted quite as often as they should’ve been. Josh Palmer looked okay, but he still didn’t show enough to me. Dominick Wood-Anderson played alright, but he was blanketed a lot by Vandy’s coverage and was taken out of the game a lot. Yet Guarantano continued to try to force it to him.

I honestly have no clue what grade to give the group. As is the case with the running backs, the surroundings hampered the receivers’ production. My biggest gripe from this group is with the coaching staff. Why in the world were Marquez Callaway and Jauan Jennings not targeted more often? Especially on third down.
