A week after having their best performance of the season, Tennessee’s linebackers had arguably their worst day of the season. Darrell Taylor followed up his four sack performance with a clunker of a game, and none of Tennessee’s linebackers produced a tackle for loss or even a quarterback hurry. The unit missed a lot of tackles, and they also contributed to Missouri’s big day on the ground. The linebacking corps was simply dreadful.

It wasn’t just the d-line that struggled to get off blocks or with Mizzou’s tempo. The linebackers were just as poor and missed as many tackles as they have all season. Daniel Bituli led the group with just five tackles, and the unit didn’t produce a single tackle for a loss. But what was also disappointing was that after Tennessee consistently pressured Terry Wilson a week ago, it failed to pressure Drew Lock.
