Offensive Line

The only reason I don’t give the offensive line an “F” is because they improved as the game went on. Their play in the opening quarter of play was horrendous, though. But the line did improve bit by bit as the game wore on, but that also could’ve been a produce of Missouri letting off steam a little. I thought the run blocking was inconsistent at best, and even Keller Chryst was hit several times once he took over at QB. It’s hard for any quarterback to have success when they’re facing the type of pressure UT’s QBs have this season.

The offensive line that showed up during the first half of the season and against Charlotte, once again showed up on Saturday. Tennessee came out on its first two possessions and went three-and-out both times due to poor O-line play. The group was so poor that it allowed Mizzou to knock Guarantano out of the game with a concussion. They were better in run-blocking, springing Chandler to a nice outing, but they’re still struggling to be consistent.
