Looking at the Vols’ 2018 Senior Class

This Saturday will mark the final time 11 scholarship seniors will set foot on the field in Neyland Stadium for Tennessee.

The Vols don’t have much in the way of veteran players this year, and that’s magnified when you look at their graduating seniors. Of the 11 scholarship seniors who will be playing on Senior Day on Saturday, two of them are grad transfers who only joined UT this most recent offseason, and eight of the 11 are redshirt seniors. Tennessee only has three true seniors on scholarship this season.

This senior class is full of players who came to Tennessee in hopes of being some of the final pieces of a rebuild headed up by Butch Jones. Most of the seniors or redshirt seniors on UT’s roster joined in either the 2014 or 2015 classes (with a few exceptions), and there were plenty of hopes and tons of potential when they set foot on campus.

Unfortunately for these fourth and fifth-year players, a lot of that potential went unfulfilled.

From 2014 till now, Tennessee has earned just a 34-27 record, and the Vols never won the SEC East during the time these players were on campus. The Vols suffered their worst season in program history last year, and several players in this senior class have had injuries derail what looked like an extremely promising career.

But that doesn’t mean UT’s seniors should hang their head on Saturday; there’s still plenty to be proud of when looking back on their Tennessee career, and several of the Vols’ seniors are enjoying the best season of their career in their final year as a Vol.

In honor of Senior Day on Saturday, we take a look at all 11 of the Vols’ scholarship seniors on the roster as they prepare to play their last home game as a Vol.

Players are ordered by redshirt seniors first, then four-year seniors. Players are also listed alphabetically.
