I believe Jordan Bowden is the most underrated player on Tennessee’s roster. He plays both ends of the floor extremely well, but he rarely receives the recognition for it.

Last season, Bowden was Tennessee’s fourth leading-scorer at 9.1 points per game and was arguably the best three-point shooter on the team. Defensively, he led the team with 39 steals and often guarded the opponent’s best ball-handler.

This season, I expect Bowden’s production to sky-rocket on both ends of the floor. Against Tusculum, Bowden dropped in 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting. He added two steals and two blocks on the defensive end. The junior was noticeably aggressive on both ends of the floor and played with a confidence that coaches had been begging him to play with during his first two seasons on Rocky Top.

Not only is Bowden the most underrated player on Tennessee’s roster, but I’d argue that Jordan Bowden is the most underrated player in the SEC. He’s a tremendous two-way player for the Vols, and if he continues to play with confidence, it’ll show this season.
