Wide Receivers/Tight Ends

Tennessee’s receivers weren’t extremely explosive, but they did make some good plays. Marquez Callaway caught two big first downs, and Josh Palmer made a great touchdown grab. Saturday was tight end Dominick Wood-Anderson’s best game of the season so far, catching three passes for 53 yards. Like Ty Chandler, Jauan Jennings was limited to help preserve his health. The big mark back on this group comes from the blocking from the tight ends. It wasn’t very good.

Another group that’s hard to grade because it’s hard to get a gauge of how well they performed. They weren’t asked to do a lot and they didn’t make any negative plays that stood out. The best play from a wide receiver came on Marquez Callaway’s 82-yard punt return for a touchdown. Josh Palmer looked good, hauling in a nice touchdown reception. At tight end, I thought Dominick Wood-Anderson showed why so many are hopeful he can develop into an NFL tight end one day.
