Inside linebacker Daniel Bituli leads the team in tackles, and his fellow inside linebacker, Darrin Kirkland Jr., is third on the team with 27 stops on the year. Defensive lineman Alexis Johnson is enjoying his best year as as a Vol in his final season and is second on the team with 28 tackles.

Despite not getting much playing time early on this year, Quart’e Sapp still has 13 tackles and has come on strong the last couple games. Will Ignont has earned more playing time and is seventh on the team in tackles, and both true freshmen corners — Alontae Taylor and Bryce Thompson — are showing off good tackling so far.
