Special Teams
The Vols did not have any massive mistakes against Georgia on special teams, but it did have three bone-headed miscues. In the span of four punts, the Vols were called for illegal formation three times. To make matters worse, it was for the same exact reason each time – too many people lined up in the backfield.
As you can see below, Daniel Bituli, who Gary Danielson referred to as the “left tackle,” was lined up too far in the backfield on each penalty.
