After suffering an embarrassing loss at home to Florida last week, the Vols responded better on the road against No. 2 Georgia and played closer than the 38-12 final score would indicate. But Tennessee still lost, and they fell to 2-3 on the season.
The Vols, once again, got off to a slow start and couldn’t overcome it. Tennessee managed just 68 yards of offense in the first half and trailed 24-0 in the third quarter at one point.
But the offense finally found a rhythm, and Tennessee cut the lead to 24-12 before Georgia went on a seven and a half minute scoring drive to salt the game away in the fourth quarter.
Managing editor Nathanael Rutherford and contributor Aby Goodman took to Periscope and Facebook Live to react to the Vols’ loss to Georgia. They discussed some improvements they saw from Tennessee, what still needs to be worked on, Tennessee’s play-calling, the decision to attempt two two-point conversions, and much more.
Vol fans also chimed in during the post-game reaction show, and they let their voices be heard after Tennessee’s 11th straight SEC loss.
If you missed the reaction immediately after the game, you can catch the replay of it below.
