We already knew it was going to be a night game. But now the kick-off time and channel for the Tennessee vs. Florida game have been officially decided.
Tennessee announced late Saturday night that their annual match-up with the Florida Gators will be televised on ESPN, and the game will kick off at 7:00 PM Eastern time. It will mark the first time the annual SEC East rivalry game will kick off later than 3:30 Eastern since the 2012 match-up that kicked off at 6:00 Eastern.
The Vols (2-1) will host the Gators (2-1) on September 22nd in Neyland Stadium for this year’s match-up. The last time Florida played Tennessee in Knoxville, the Vols ended an 11-game losing streak to the Gators by defeating them 38-28. Last season, Florida defeated Tennessee on a last-second touchdown throw to win 26-20.
Florida leads the all-time series with a 27-20 record. Tennessee has defeated the Gators just six times since the SEC split into divisions before the 1992 season.
