Tennessee’s receivers didn’t have quite as good of a game today as they have the first two weeks, but overall they were still quite good. Dominick Wood-Anderson was a little more involved in the passing game, but the tight ends still aren’t being utilized a great deal as passing targets. They did do a good job blocking, especially Austin Pope. Josh Palmer continues to be a good deep threat, and Jauan Jennings is getting more involved and looking closer to 100 percent. Brandon Johnson was targeted a lot more in this one, and he had a mostly good day with a drop sprinkled in to his performance.

The best part of the day was seeing Jauan Jennings haul in a touchdown pass and blowing a kiss to the crowd as if to say, “Thank you for continuing to believe in me and supporting me through everything.” On the afternoon, the group as a whole didn’t create too many splash plays. Palmer hauled in a 53-yard completion, but he finished the day with just two catches. Brandon Johnson had his best game of the season, catching four passes for 51 yards while making several defends miss on screens to pick up a couple of first downs. Dominick Wood-Anderson was more involved in the game plan, and that’s a beautiful thing if your Tennessee, because the JUCO signee has the tools to be an impact player.
