Jordan Allen, OLB
Just like with Deandre Johnson, Jordan Allen should get plenty of opportunities in UT’s next two games to show what he brings to the table as a pass rusher.
Allen’s biggest issue during fall camp was consistency. He would look promising at times, but then he would follow that up with some bad reps. He has some good explosiveness and quickness off the edge, but is he strong enough to shed blocks by SEC offensive linemen?
The JUCO transfer won’t get to test his skills against elite offensive linemen against ETSU and UTEP, but he can still do enough to warrant more playing time in late September and October. He’ll likely get a chance to show off his athleticism starting this weekend.
