Tennessee vs. UTEP, Sept. 15th
Aside from West Virginia, Tennessee’s non-conference schedule in 2018 is a cake walk. UTEP went 0-12 last year and has a new head coach. The Miners are expected to be one of the worst programs in the FBS once again this year, and the Vols should be able to use this game as a mere tune-up for their match-up with Florida the next week. UTEP was blasted by the two Power Five programs they played last year, Oklahoma and Arizona. The Sooners beat the Miners 56-7 and Arizona routed them 63-16. The Vols will be facing former quarterbacks coach Mike Canales in this game as well.
