Tennessee vs. West Virginia, Sept. 1st
For the second consecutive year and for the third time in the last four years, the Vols will be opening the regular season in a neutral site contest. Tennessee takes on West Virginia’s potent offensive attack over in Charlotte to start the 2018 season, and it will be a difficult first test for Jeremy Pruitt’s squad this year. Heisman hopeful quarterback Will Grier leads an offense that returns the bulk of their production from last year’s high-flying passing attack, and WVU’s defense has been retooled. The Vols will get a chance to show off their new defensive scheme, their new offensive play-calling, and their new attitude in this game. Unfortunately, the RTI team isn’t ready to pull the trigger on Tennessee pulling off the upset just yet, though.
