Tennessee vs. Missouri, Nov. 17th
Missouri, much like West Virginia, boasts a potent passing attack. The Tigers aren’t quite as talented overall as the Mountaineers, but they did hand Tennessee a 50-17 beat down last year that resulted in Butch Jones being fired after the game. Last year’s game saw Will McBride make a spot start and Tennessee’s offensive line use more freshmen than upper classmen.
Unlike last year, Tennessee hopes to be much healthier and in a much better place mentally when the two teams meet this season. Plus, the Vols can’t lose to Derek Dooley, right? He’ll be calling plays for the Tigers in this contest, and Tennessee hopes they can send their former head coach back to Missouri with a loss. The RTI team believes it will be a close contest but that Tennessee will ultimately prevail.
According to our predictions thus far, this victory would give the Vols their sixth win and make them bowl eligible.
