The University of Tennessee handed out their official depth chart for their Week 1 match-up with No. 17 West Virginia on Monday, and there are a number of newcomers littered throughout the two-deep.
Tennessee currently has 10 different positions listed with co-starters (tight end, left guard, right guard, right tackle, No. 2 wide receiver, quarterback, running back, weakside linebacker, and cornerback), and eight different positions have a newcomer to the 2018 roster listed as at least a co-starter.
The Vols’ quarterback position, as assumed, lists both Jarrett Guarantano and Keller Chryst as co-starters. Tennessee’s top three running backs are all listed as co-starters, and Trey Smith is listed as the starter at left tackle right now.
UT’s defense seems much more figured out than the offense. Only two positions on defense, weakside linebacker and one of the cornerback spots, has co-starters listed. Seven of the other eight positions with co-starters are on offense, and the last one is at punter.
