Stock Report: Week 2 of Vols’ Fall Camp

Stock Down: Kivon Bennett, DL

After trimming down to 266 pounds this summer, Bennett looked to be in better shape and ready to possibly be a contributor on the Vols’ defensive line. But after two weeks of practice, Bennett hasn’t been all that impressive in drills and situational work, and now he’s been moved over to linebacker for a bit.

It doesn’t look like the move to linebacker is a permanent one for Bennett most likely, but it’s still a bit discouraging if you’re hoping for him to be a contributor this season. Not finding a permanent home this late in the game likely means Bennett isn’t going to crack the two-deep at either defensive line or linebacker (if he stays there).

Coming out of high school, Bennett was a four-star lineman out of Florida. But right now, he’s a man without a position and hasn’t stood out thus far.
