Stock Up: Offensive Line
The Vols’ offensive line was one of the biggest area of concerns heading into fall camp. And while the depth overall still isn’t where it needs to be, the projected starting five and next couple linemen on the depth chart look like legit options in this unit.
Will Friend has done a good job coaching up the Vols’ offensive line, and from what we’ve seen in fall camp so far, this unit looks like they’ve improved from last year as long as they can stay healthy.
Getting Trey Smith and Chance Hall back has been huge for the line, and the addition of Brandon Kennedy has been monumental. Players like Drew Richmond have also shown improvement.
Overall, the offensive line still doesn’t have as much quality depth as is necessary in the SEC if your linemen suffer injuries, but that top six or seven should be good enough for this season if they stay healthy.
