Vol fans will get a chance to meet new head coach Jeremy Pruitt before the start of the 2018 season according to a release from Tennessee today.

Though details are sparse about the event, Tennessee announced on Thursday that they will hold a Fan Day on August 5th at Neyland Stadium. A time hasn’t been made official yet, nor have any of the activities for the event. But head coach Jeremy Pruitt did tweet out that he is looking forward to “meeting our great fans” at the event.

Tennessee’s first practice of fall camp will be on August 3rd. No other times or dates have been announced for fall camp, but Fan Day will take place just a couple days after the first ever fall practice of the Jeremy Pruitt era.

There was no big fan event prior to the Orange & White Game earlier this year, but it appears as though Pruitt and Tennessee want to do something special for the fans before the season kicks off.

The Vols’ previous head coach, Butch Jones, used to hold an open practice in the fall for fans to attend, but he and Tennessee elected not to hold open practices his last few years with the Vols.

We will keep you updated as more details are released about Fan Day.
