Cornerback
It’s no secret that cornerback has been the Vols’ biggest need in this class since Jeremy Pruitt took over as head coach back in December. And as of right now, Tennessee still doesn’t have any corners committed. But that should change fairly soon.
The Vols’ cornerback situation is less than ideal this season and moving forward. Pruitt and his staff aren’t exactly thrilled with the options they have on the roster right now, and they’re looking to overhaul this positions as quickly as they can. Look for the Vols to add three or maybe even four corners in this class.
Tennessee may not have any commits at this position right now, but they’re high on several corners and will likely add a few this summer. Four-stars Jaydon Hill, Tyus Fields, and Devin Bush are prospects to keep in mind, as is three-star Warren Burrell. Four-star JUCO corner Elijah Blades seems to really like the Vols too, and in-state four-star corner Maurice Hampton is someone UT is trying to flip from LSU. Other in-state corners such as Woodi Washington and Adonis Otey will be interesting to monitor moving forward. Shyheim Battle and Duke commit Tony Davis are names to remember as well.
