Running Back
Tennessee’s coaches aren’t high on too many of the running backs in the 2019 cycle, but they definitely have their eye on a couple. And the Vols need to pick up a running back commit in this class just to keep depth going forward in the future.
The Vols don’t have a true running back committed right now. There’s a thought that three-star athlete/safety Aaron Beasley could get a shot there, but Tennessee’s staff would like to add at least one true back in this class. Five-star athlete Quavaris Crouch will get a look at running back if he commits to the Vols, but the consensus with him seems to be that his highest ceiling is actually at linebacker.
Three-star Breece Hall has emerged as a legitimate option for the Vols at running back, and there are a few other names to keep an eye on too. Four-star Marcus Major, three-star Zonovan Knight, three-star Knowledge McDaniel, and three-star Wake Forest commit Kendrell Flowers are names to keep up with. Four-star in-state back Eric Gray doesn’t seem very likely, but don’t forget about him either.
